Nicholas, this would work if your camera supports triggering the video via the shutter release cable. My understanding is the many cameras don't support this in their firmware. I know at least the Canon 1D X has support for this, but I'm not sure about any other cameras.

Camera Axe 5 looks great! I've never owned a camera axe before and i was wondering if the sensors can trigger automatic record in video mode as well as the obvious still camera applications.

Thanks

I appreciate your suggestion. Currently the only way to do what you want is as you described. It would certainly be possible to add the function you described, but I am planning to release a new valve sensor that adds a dedicated flush button. Then there will no long be need for such an option in the software. I know this doesn't help people like you with the older valve sensor, but I don't want to complicate the software for everyone when there is a better solution by updating the hardware. Maybe you could make the software change your self or ask on the forums to see if someone can help you.

Looks good, although I have the CameraAxe5 shield kit, I know a couple of folks who've been waiting for this version to come out.
Regarding software, I haven't yet tried the latest version, so forgive me if the facility is in there - but I was wondering if you can add a "flush valve" option to the Valve sensor menu please? It's a bit of a pain having to set 999 for drop size twice and D2 delay to 0 just to get a 2" drop - then I have to press the activate button multiple times to flush the valve. If there was an option to hold it open with the activate (or valve sensor test button) that would be great - or is there already and I'm just missing something? ;-)
